When it comes to credit cards, the only thing better than low interest is no interest. While all credit cards have interest on charges if they’re not paid off in full during the month, some credit cards offer a grace period—an intro rate.

Not all cards are created equal. Some cards don’t have a grace period, others have one but for a short time, and then there are the cards that offer an intro rate so long you may not have to pay any interest until next year.

To find the credit card with the best intro rate, we evaluated many worthy cards. If you’re looking for a company that offers reputable intro rates for their cards, Bank of America is consistent. Their credit cards vary from 7 to 9 billing cycles with 0% introductory APR on purchases.

To get the longest possible intro rate from Bank of America, the Business Advantage Cash Rewards Mastercard Credit Card and the Business Advantage Travel Rewards World Mastercard Credit Card are suggested. Both cards offer an intro rate length of 9 billing cycles, as well as some nice perks in their respective cash and travel rewards categories.

While Bank of America offers favorable intro rates for their credit cards, there are individual cards from other companies that have better intro rates. American Express has a few cards that offer appealing intro rates, including their Blue Business Plus Credit Card and their Blue Business Cash Card

It’s actually the Blue Business Cash Card that earns our spot for the best intro rate credit card due to its low interest rate, expanded buying power, and cash back. Here’s what each of those means:

      • Intro Rate: Cards often include a low rate for the first few billing cycles — usually 6-12 cycles. That can means no interest on purchases for a full year. If your business has some big expenses coming up, not having to pay interest means your business can save, save, save, although you’ll be expected to pay the full interest on any balance that still remains after the intro period.
      • Expanded Buying Power: To aid your constantly-changing business, some cards will allow you to spend beyond your credit limit. The amount you can spend above your credit limit is not unlimited, however—it adjusts with the use of the card, payment history, credit record, and other known financial resources.
      • Cash Back and/or rewards: Some cards offer cash back, others offer rewards for purchases, and still others don’t include either. Cash back can be a huge boon, although it’s a good idea to ensure higher interest rates or annual fees don’t offset this perk.
