Accounting software might be the oldest software (and one of the oldest professions), but Jim Secord and his company are turning the world of small business accounting on its head. In a bold move that seems to be attracting small business owners all across the country, Secord has chosen the iPad as his platform of choice.

The goal is to make accounting more accessible to “non-accountants” buy making it easy and more convenient than traditional small business accounting software. Secord argues that the easy, portable, and always-on convenience make the iPad the perfect solution for small business owners on the go.

Perfect for the small business with 3-4 employees, Secord predicts that all the small business applications available for the iPad could very well spell the demise of the laptop within some small business environments. What do you think of this forward-thinking entrepreneurs goal to making small business accounting simple and convenient?
