Nothing says Costco like 4 flats of poppy seed muffins and a giant pumpkin pie. What you may not know, however, is that Costco offers more than just bulk food and retail goods. They also offer services meant to make small business life easier.

      1. Office snacks

OK, so this first one is a bit of a no-brainer, but it’s also an easy way to do something nice for your employees. Want to give your workers a few snacks to can reach for during the busy work day? Look no further than Costco.

You can get 3 pounds of celery for the health nuts and a couple muffin flats for everyone else. Guaranteed to make your employees happier 99% of the time. Just don’t quote us on that.

Moving right along—this is where it gets interesting.

      2. Health insurance

That’s right, Costco actually has a system set up that can help you provide your workers with health insurance. They have packages for individual families, small businesses of up to 50 employees, and larger businesses with more than 50 employees.

According to the site, the Costco Health Insurance Marketplace helps you “identify and enroll in the plan and program that suits your needs.” You can shop and compare available plans in your area and review plan details.

      3. Credit card processing

Costco’s payment processor, Elavon, promises that “Costco Executive Members can save an average of $736 annually per year by processing with Elavon.” This is made possible with a number of benefits only available to Costco members, including:

      • No application fee for Executive Members
      • No statement fees for Executive Members
      • No cancellation fee or early termination fees
      • No annual fees
      • No batch fees
      • No reporting fees
      • No additional authorization fees

      4. Cloud-based phone system

Costco works with Intermedia to give members access to one of the best integrated business cloud services on the market today. Intermedia boasts over 1.5 million customers and PC Magazine Editor’s Choice Award in the cloud VoIP provider category for 2017.

With an accredited VoIP company under their banner, easy credit-card processing, health insurance, and office snacking services, Costco has made itself a natural extension of many small businesses. These services are worth checking out if you’re looking to save some extra dough.
