How To Create And Manage A Company Facebook Page

      Facebook is the most used social media platform. There are 1.15 billion monthly active users with 699 million of them being daily active users (Key Facts). According to World Meter there are roughly 7.1 billion people in the world. That means that Facebook has about 16 percent of the entire world using it every day.

Posting thought leadership content that is engaging creates a positive brand experience. This can really influence your followers to be more likely to buy and use your product or service. Creating and managing a company Facebook Page can be harder than you think. Here are some tips to not make it harder than it has to be.

      1. Create your Page

      This step is the easiest because Facebook will walk you through step-by-step. Make sure you have as much details as possible about your business, company, or product. The more information you fill out the better (You can always go back and fill or change information). There is some information that will affect your ability to be found on Google or another search engine.

      2.  Consistency

      Your Facebook Page should be consistent to your website (if you have one) and your brand. There are three simple things you can start with:

      Profile picture (Dimension: 612 x 612)

      Your profile picture should reflect your company visually. It could be your logo or your company name in a cool typography. Just remember that it needs to look good big and in thumbnail size.

      Cover photo (Dimensions 852 x 315)

      Your cover photo should reflect your company but should have a message attached to it (whether or not it actually says it).


      You only have 155 characters to tell about your company. Make it short, to the point, and consistent to your brand. If you have a website this is a great place to put your URL because it’s clickable.

      3. Brand Experience

      All your posts on Facebook are part of your brand experience and has the power to increases  (or decrease) your reach. Each of your posts needs to be valuable to your customers. To make sure your posts are valuable, read: “How to Increase Your Reach on Facebook Without Paid Promotions

      4. Page Insights

      Facebook has recently updated its analytics to include more details and other helpful information to understanding your pages influence week-over-week. You are able to see your page likes, post reach, and engagement in your overview. This will really help you understand what is working and what isn’t working.

      5. Schedule Posts

      If you are logged into your Facebook Page you can click the clock symbol and set it to a future time. The “Post” button will then change to a “Schedule” button. This is so you can gather content and schedule out your day instead of periodically going back and manually posting it at the time you choose.       6. Paid Promotions

      You can build your page organically without paid promotions but if you’re not getting the reach, engagement or page like you would like you can pay to get them higher. Paid promotions start as low as $5 a day to promote your company page or a specific post.
