But I do not have anyway to run my business. Needless to say the financial industry has destroyed my credit rating. Making it look like I was a financial incompetent. Were can I go from here?

    • Time and sound financial practice will help. Most lenders understand that it’s been tough for borrowers over the last few years. Many are willing to overlook past problems if your current financial situation is stable. They will likely want to see six months or more (depending on the lender). You’ll also want to make sure you know what your credit score is and what dings show up on it. For $30 or $40 you can sign up with TransUnion, Experian, or Equifax. Knowing exactly where you are will make a big difference when you approach a lender.
