Three out of four people say working with their boss is the most stressful part of the day. Is that how it is for you?
There’s no question that we all work in a stressful world. In fact, the BBC reports that on Monday heart attacks increase by 20 percent. What’s more, a bad boss increases your chance of a heart attack by about 30 percent. Needless to say, this isn’t good for employees or small business.
Michell McQuaid describes what we can do about it and who has responsibility for improving the employee/boss relationship. The growing body of evidence suggests that this is a problem we need to fix—in fact, it costs the U.S. economy $360 billion every year in lost productivity.
