LEHI, Utah—January 13, 2021—Lendio, the nation’s leading small business finance solutions provider, has been ranked 8th on Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work among U.S. small and medium companies. Lendio’s overall rating on Glassdoor is 4.9 out of 5. The Employees’ Choice Award, now in its 13th year, is based solely on the input of employees, who elect to provide anonymous feedback by completing a company review about their job, work environment and employer on Glassdoor, the worldwide leader on insights about jobs and companies.

“It’s truly an honor to be ranked so highly based on our team members’ feedback,” said Brock Blake, CEO and co-founder of Lendio. “Over the last year, Lendio’s mission shifted from fueling the American dream to saving it, as every employee took on the critical role of helping to facilitate emergency relief loans for small businesses. Though the last year has been volatile and uncertain for everyone, I’ve been so impressed with the way our team members have supported each other, tackled tough issues and taken great care of our customers.”

In March 2020, Lendio began preparing to help facilitate Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans for the nation’s small businesses in desperate need of financial relief. In a matter of days, the company went fully remote while at the same time building a digital application to help these small businesses access PPP loans. Lendio also launched digital PPP applications for more than 250 financial institutions. The company’s efforts resulted in $8 billion in PPP loan approvals for over 115,000 small businesses across the country.

“COVID-19 is in the driver’s seat and every employer has been impacted. This year’s winning employers have proven, according to employees, that even during extraordinary times, they’ll rise to the challenge to support their people,” said Christian Sutherland-Wong, Glassdoor chief executive officer. “A mission-driven culture, transparent leadership and career opportunities are always hallmarks of Best Places to Work winners.”

In addition to providing job security for its existing employees, Lendio hired an additional 200 temporary employees in 2020 as unemployment skyrocketed. This year, Lendio has announced it will hire up to 500 new temporary employees to help facilitate PPP loans for small businesses. Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work were determined using company reviews shared by U.S.-based employees between October 22, 2019 and October 19, 2020. To be considered for the U.S. small and medium company category, a company must have had fewer than 1,000 employees and have received at least 30 ratings across each of the eight workplace attributes (overall company rating, career opportunities, compensation and benefits, culture and values, senior management, work-life balance, recommend to a friend and six-month business outlook) from U.S.-based employees during the period of eligibility. The final list is compiled using Glassdoor’s proprietary algorithm, led by its Economic Research Team, and takes into account quantity, quality and consistency of reviews.
