March 25, 2021—LEHI, Utah—Lendio, the nation’s leading small business finance solutions provider, today announced its selection as one of Great Place to Work® and Fortune’s 2021 Best Workplaces in Financial Services & Insurance™. Lendio has been named to the list for two years running, this year coming in at 35th place.

The Best Workplaces in Financial Services & Insurance award is based on analysis of survey responses from more than 840,000 current employees across the U.S. In that survey, 96% of Lendio’s employees said it is a great place to work. This number is 37 points higher than the average U.S. company.

“We have a saying internally that Lendio is its people,” said Brock Blake, CEO and co-founder of Lendio. “The company has accomplished some remarkable things over the last year, including helping more than 130,000 small business owners get access to government relief funds. This would not have been possible without each one of our talented and passionate team members.”

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Lendio has shifted its focus to facilitating Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans for the nation’s small businesses. This pivot led to an increase in demand for Lendio’s services. In the spring of 2020, Lendio brought on 200 temp-to-hire employees and another 500 between December 2020 and January 2021.

“Being able to provide employment, even temporarily, to so many people in our community is something we were very fortunate to be able to do,” said Mark Santiago, Chief of Staff at Lendio.

The Best Workplaces in Financial Services & Insurance is highly competitive. Great Place to Work, the global authority on workplace culture, selected the list using rigorous analytics and confidential employee feedback. Companies were only considered if they had been a Great Place to Work-Certified™ organization.

Great Place to Work is the only company culture award in America that selects winners based on how fairly employees are treated. Companies are assessed on how well they are creating a great employee experience that cuts across race, gender, age, disability status or any aspect of who employees are or what their role is.

“Congratulations to the Best Workplaces in Financial Services & Insurance. These companies are meeting the moment. Not only have they pivoted to new ways of working, but their employees’ report an even better company culture than before COVID-19,” said Michael C. Bush, CEO Great Place to Work®. “The leaders of these companies can expect excellent business results thanks to their inclusive, high-trust cultures.”
