Cash back credit cards can be a money-saver for your business if you’re earning back a percentage of everything you spend. The recently revamped Bank of America Business Advantage Cash Rewards Mastercard offers cash rewards on every purchase, plus the opportunity to earn bonus rewards. If you’re looking for a new business credit card, here’s what this one has to offer.

      Cash Back, with Choices

Most business cash rewards cards either assign a flat rewards rate on every purchase or tier cash back across specific categories. The Bank of America Business Advantage Cash Rewards Mastercard has a tiered rewards structure, but it gives you the freedom to choose where you earn the most cash back.

Here’s how it works. Members earn 3% cash back in the category of their choice, including gas stations, office supply stores, travel, TV/telecommunications and wireless services, computer services, or business consulting services. The cash back rate for dining is 2%, and all other purchases earn unlimited 1% cash back.

The 3% and 2% cash back rewards apply to the first $50,000 in combined purchases for dining and the category of your choice each calendar year. Once you hit that limit, you’ll earn unlimited 1% cash back on those purchases until the next calendar year begins.

      Earn Bonus Cash Rewards

In addition to earning cash back on purchases, there are 2 ways to earn bonus rewards with the Bank of America Business Advantage Cash Rewards Mastercard. The first is making at least $3,000 in net purchases within the first 90 days after opening the account. If you qualify, the bonus offer is worth $300 in statement credit.

The second way to boost cash rewards is by being a Bank of America Business Advantage Relationship Rewards client. If you have a qualifying business account, you can earn up to a 75% rewards bonus on eligible purchases made with your card.

All of the rewards you earn with your card can be redeemed as a deposit into your Bank of America checking or savings account. If you’d rather apply them to business purchases, you can use the statement credit option or have a check mailed to you. Your cash rewards never expire so you can use them when and how you want.

No Annual Fee and No Interest on Purchases for 9 Payment Periods

Any time you open a business credit card, it’s important to understand what you might pay in interest and fees. The Bank of America Business Advantage Cash Rewards Mastercard has no annual fee and offers a 0% introductory APR on purchases for the first 9 billing cycles. That setup could be helpful if you’re planning to make a large business purchase with your card.

Balance transfers don’t come with the same 0% APR deal, however. You’ll pay the regular variable APR for those, along with a balance transfer fee of $10 or 4%, whichever is greater. This card also charges a 3% foreign transaction fee so if you’re looking for a rewards card you can take along on overseas trips, you may want to shop around for another option.
