As I discussed in LendioTip #1, creating a complete profile on Lendio is the most important action you, as a small business owner, can take in connecting to the right lender. But what should you do next? So you’ve created a profile, now what? Wait to hear from lenders? Who’s in the drivers seat? How can you continue to move the process forward? How do you know where you stand with your proposed matches? These are all pressing questions when you need financing and fast!
Every lender is different: different processes, milestones, and timelines. You can start hearing back from lenders in as little as a few minutes but some of the traditional lenders will take a few days to get back to you. One thing they all have in common is they love to hear from YOU. It shows the banks you are serious about discussing your financing options. We here at Lendio like to call it a “warm introduction”.
Lendio provides all of the information you need to connect to each lender. After you have created a Lendio profile, you can get contact information in 2 ways: 1) from your matches pages, you can access this page by logging into your profile with your email address and your password. If it’s your first time logging in, you can get your temporary password via your Lendio welcome email. 2) when a lender wants to connect to you, they’ll send you an introductory email with contact expectations and the best way to reach out to them.
