95% of marketers have thought about starting their own marketing agency at one time or another. Truth is, very few people actually try and launch it. That’s what makes people like Demetrius, Ian, and Melissa so unique. They have an idea, a passion, and they go for it. Now that they’re successful business owners, they’ve looked back on their path to success and gave the people at Faces of Main Street so really great advice. Here’s advice for other entrepreneurs from the owners at DragonFire Digital.

Demetrius’s Advice: “Ignore the fear and nervousness you may have about starting your business. Don’t be afraid to fail. Sure, failure is always a possibility… but so is success!”

Ian’s Advice: “Having studied history and sociology, it grants me a particular insight into not just people, but the history of our industry. Knowing the past allows for strong growth in the future.

Don’t be afraid. Do it. Steel yourself for the road ahead but do not give up. Don’t get disheartened. Surround yourself with people who are every bit as strong as you are and who share your goals and fervor for success.”

Melissa’s Advice: “There isn’t much I would change from starting the business to now, but if I had to change something, I would allocate even more time to as many local networking events as possible from day one. Networking is invaluable to any business, and to new businesses especially!”
